Anybody up for some soccer?

Jessi looked like a little soccer player today, especially when she played with the dogs' stuffed soccer ball. She must be practicing to be a goalie since she wants to pick up the ball more than kick it. Time will tell if she will want to play soccer. If she does, I'll have to pick up Soccer Moms for Dummies to learn more about the game.

Pizza Time

Today we thought it would be fun to make pizzas at home. Jessi had a great time spreading sauce and sprinkling cheese and diced canadian bacon on her pizza. She watched it in the oven and then wanted to eat it as soon as it was out. After letting it cool a little, she enjoyed her very own homemade pizza. We will have to do this again and perhaps experiment with other toppings.

Happy Veteran's Day

A big thank you to all the men and women who are serving our country now and those that have served in the past. I appreciate all that you do! A special thanks to my Dad who is an Air Force vet! Happy Veterans Day to all!

Trick or Treat

Okay, we didn't go trick or treating, but we did have a fun filled Halloween. We all slept in and then had pumpkin shaped biscuits and eggs for breakfast. Lot of play time and then had mummy hot dogs and monster (apple) lips for lunch. Then when Jessi woke up from her nap, Grandma Lipa was here! More playtime, and then we went to Reeces's Halloween Party. It was cute to see Jessi and her little friends dressed up. Jessi was a fairy. She wasn't sure of her dress, but wore it anyway minus the tights and shoes, tiara, and magic wand. Jessi didn't want to leave the party, but we had to get home to eat dinner and possibly go trick or treating. We skipped the trick or treating (thankfully she doesn't know the difference), and let Jessi in her pink skeleton pajamas entertain us a bit before bedtime. Sweet dreams little lady!

Baby Esquivel

Today we found out the sex of Baby Esquivel. The baby cooperated during the sono until the very end when the baby curled up and went to sleep. Since the sonographer wasn't able to see the heart as well as she wanted, we get to have another glimpse of Baby Esquivel next month.

I am intentionally not mentioning the baby's sex because my dad wants to be surprised and he checks my blog every now and then. If you want to know, check out my latest status on Facebook or send me an email.

We are very excited that all is well and we will be adding a healthy baby to our family in the Spring!

Pet Parade & Costume Contest

Tonight Jen and I took Ellee and Bijou to Petsmart for the Pet Parade and Costume Contest. Ellee was a sweet little angel and Bijou was a cute little devil. They looked adorable together. They made through the first round, but there were lots of cute little and big dogs there.

I Feel Lucky

I started the day with a surprise. Taped to my computer at work was an envelope and inside was a note and a very sentimental item I thought I had lost. Here's the story...

Since my pregnant hands sometimes swell, I have started wearing my engagement ring only because it is looser than my wedding band. On Thursday, I slipped my ring off and into my pocket for safe keeping in order to help prepare sandwiches for a charity fundraiser at work. I didn't think about it at the time, but it is also the same pocket that I placed my work keys. Later that evening I remembered I put the ring in my pocket, but guess what was not in there...That ring could have fallen out anywhere where I may have taken my keys out.

Where was it found? The custodian at work found it under my chair in my office. There are honest, caring people still out there in this world. I made sure to say thank you although I wasn't quite sure how to express how thankful I was that the ring was returned to me.
