Happy 3rd Birthday, H!

Jessi had a great time at H's birthday party! It was quite strange to take Jessi to a party at Kiddie Acres. I probably last went there when I was in junior high. She rode on several of the rides with her friends, but wouldn't ride the ponies. Maybe next time.

First taste of cotton candy...LOVED it!

Pumpkins

We visited our favorite farm, Sweet Berry Farm, today. There were lots of pumpkins to roll or take photos by. Jessi painted a small pumpkin, rode in the barrel train, picked a bouquet of fresh flowers, and rode the hay ride. It sounds strange...but we all took a break from the hot sun and enjoyed yummy homemade strawberry popsicles. Even Joshua snuck in a couple licks!

Bear Down

Joey, my dad, Jen & I went to the Cowboys v Bears game at Cowboys Stadium. (Joey was the only Cowboy fan in our group.) This was my first NFL football game to attend. It was a close game, but the Bears pulled off a win. Bear down, Chicago Bears!

Illinois Trips

We went to Illinois in September to see family. Our visit started at my Aunt Pat's for a couple days. Jessica loved playing outside and playing with new friends. We visited the horses. Jessi wasn't interested in petting or feeding the two ponies that were in the pasture closest to us, so we just watched them.

Then we went to Streator. We took the kids to a carnival and then later the adults went to Cruise Night. The next day we had a family gathering. All of my dad's side was there with the exception of my brother and his family. We enjoyed lots of good food and conversation. The most special part of the visit is that Joshua met his great grandmother.

We also took a very short weekend trip to Illinois in October for my cousin, Laura's baby shower. We are very excited for her and Brian. Another little girl will join the family around Christmas!

Still Here

The Esquivel's are still here. We have all been a little busy with work and play. I promise more posts and pics soon.
